SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a downhole tool and a downhole tool production method. Downhole tool comprises a body having a composition; a layer of hydrophobic material metallurgically bonded to the body surface and containing a disperse phase containing molybdenum boride, and a first continuous phase containing a cobalt-chromium metal binder; and interphase boundary between layer of hydrophobic material and body, containing molybdenum boride, dispersed in second continuous phase, which contains cobalt-chromium and composition of body, which differs from composition of cobalt-chromium. Dispersed phase is between about 40.0 weight percent and about 80.0 weight percent of hydrophobic material layer, and cobalt-chromium contains between about 62.0 weight percent and about 68.0 weight percent cobalt and between about 32.0 weight percent and about 38.0 weight percent of chromium. Interphase boundary has a gradient of cobalt-chromium composition and contains a greater weight percentage of cobalt-chromium closer to the layer of hydrophobic material than to the body, and the interphase boundary has a body composition gradient and contains a higher weight percentage of the body composition closer to the body than to the hydrophobic material layer.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increase in the service life of the tool by reducing accumulation of scale and sticking of the drilled rock on the tool, with maintenance of wear resistance and erosion resistance of the coating having high strength of chemical bond with the base material.
