SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the microbiological industry. Disclosed is a method of increasing production of isocitric acid in conditions of excess carbon source and nitrogen limit using yeast Yarrowia lipolytica, in which the level of expression of the gene Y. lipolytica YALI0E34672g, which codes the mitochondrial transporter YALI0E34672p involved in the export of isocitrate from mitochondria, is intensified. Invention also discloses Yarrowia lipolytica yeast producing isocitric acid in conditions of excess of carbon source and nitrogen limit, in which number of copies of gene Y. lipolytica YALI0E34672g is increased and/or promoter area of the above gene is intensified.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides higher production of isocitric acid in yeast Yarrowia lipolytica.
