FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: transformation of the yeast Y. lipolytica has been proposed that produces the monoterpenoid linalool, containing in the chromosome at least one copy of each of the following genes: Y. lipolytica HMGR1 gene, encoding 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase, ERG12 Y. lipolytica gene, encoding mevalonate kinase, modified gene ERG2F88W-N119W Y. lipolytica, encoding farnesyl pyrophosphate synthase, codon-optimized CrGPPS Catharanthus roseus gene, encoding the enzyme geranyl pyrophosphate synthase, the nucleotide sequence of which is given in the sequence listing under SEQ ID NO: 1, and a codon-optimized LIS Actinidia arguta gene encoding linalool synthase, the nucleotide sequence of which is given in the sequence listing under SEQ ID NO: 2. A yeast strain Y. lipolytica “ВКПМ Y-5015”, which produces linalool, has also been proposed.
EFFECT: invention ensures increased production of linalool.
