FIELD: optics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of optical inspection of pipelines. Device for determining presence of liquid in gas pipelines of high pressure comprises sight glass, which provides inlet opening into inner part of pipeline, one or more light sources, a light sensor for receiving and measuring light reflected from the pipeline inner part and passing through the sight glass, and a processor for automatic determination of the presence of liquid based on the measured reflected light. Said light-sensitive sensor is configured to measure the amount of light reflected from the inner part of the pipeline, and the processor is configured to determine the presence of liquid in the gas pipeline based on the degree of change in the measured amount of reflected light.

EFFECT: technical result consists in possibility of automatic control of liquid presence in high pressure pipeline.
