FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in production of electrodes for primary chemical current sources (CCS), specifically to a method for preparing a positive active mass for dioxide-manganese current sources. Method for preparation of positive active mass for dioxide-manganese current sources includes two-stage thermal treatment of manganese dioxide for at least 10 hours at temperature from 410 to 430 °C, then at temperature from 380 to 400 °C for 3 hours, mixing active mass components in a mixer in the following ratio, wt%: manganese dioxide – 85–93, carbon technical – 3.5–7.5, fluoroplastic suspension – 3.5–7.5 in the presence of water at a pressure at least 40 kPa (0.4 kgf/cm2). At that, weighed portions of manganese dioxide and technical carbon dioxide are poured into the mixer, mixed during 5–7 minutes, fluoroplastic suspension is poured into the mixer, held for 3–4 s, components of active mass are mixed for 1.5–2 minutes, active mass is discharged into a container, on the bottom of which there is a support and a bag is placed, so that under the action of gravity liquid is drained and removed from the prepared mass, the mass in the container is maintained in order to remove excess water from 2 to 4 hours, active mass is poured from container and thoroughly mixed, briquettes of sizes required for further technological processes are formed, and briquettes of active mass are dried in electric furnace at temperature (100±5) °C for at least 6 hours.
EFFECT: improved electrical and mechanical characteristics of the electrode.
