FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to industry, in particular to methods of making composite material with electromagnetic wave absorbing properties, and can be used for shielding (protection) of industrial equipment and industrial buildings. Method of producing composite material includes feeding fibrous base, forming fibrous web by impregnating fibrous base in magnetic field with magnetic induction of 0.3–1 T in motion at rate of 0.01–0.1 m/s with mixture of particles consisting of components taken in following ratio, wt%: magnetite – 80–99, polymer binder – 1–20, fixation of fibrous web structure by its rolling for 0.1–2 seconds between two sheets of protective shell and two heated shafts at temperature of 180–400 °C. Number of sheets of fibrous web in composite material ranges from 1 to 10 pieces. Magnetite is used in spherical shape with average size of 50 mcm. Fibrous web is batting, polyester drainage material of DVM 140.

EFFECT: invention increases degree of protection against electromagnetic radiation in the microwave range.
