METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF LEUKAEMIA DISEASE IN PEOPLE EXPOSED TO CHRONIC RADIATION EXPOSURE (EMBODIMENTS) Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B5/00 G01N33/48

Abstract RU 2713458 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to radiation medicine, and can be used for prediction of chronic myeloid leukaemia and acute leukaemia in irradiated individuals. Dynamics of the peripheral blood cell count is examined by determining the leukocyte count, neutrophil counts: myelocytes, metamyelocytes, stab nucleotide and segmented neutrophils, as well as lymphocytes and monocytes. Blood test is carried out in the period of maximum radiation exposure, haemopoiesis restoration period, the period of long-term consequences and a latent period. Leukocyte indices are calculated: Garkavi index, nuclear shear index, neutrophil and monocyte ratio index, neutrophilic lymphocyte coefficient. Increased likelihood of developing chronic myeloid leukaemia is predicted with a decrease in the Garkavi index, a nuclear shear index, an increase in the neutrophil and monocyte ratio and the neutrophilic lymphocyte coefficient. It is predicted a high probability of developing acute leukaemia with an increase in the Garkavi index, a nuclear shift index, a neutrophilic lymphocyte coefficient and a decrease in the neutrophil and monocyte ratio index.

EFFECT: group of inventions enables predicting the probability of chronic myeloid leukaemia and acute leukaemia of people exposed to chronic radiation exposure by dynamic examination of peripheral blood cell count.
