METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE DURATION AND EFFECTIVENESS OF INFUSION THERAPY FOR PHLEGMON OF THE MAXILLOFACIAL REGION Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G01N33/48

Abstract RU 2773739 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to dentistry. The method for determining the duration and effectiveness of infusion therapy for phlegmon of the maxillofacial region is that a patient with phlegmon of the maxillofacial region before and after the start of treatment is given a general blood test with the determination of the level of myelocytes, young, stab and segmented neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, plasma cells in peripheral blood, leukocyte indices are calculated: LII (leukocyte index of intoxication), ORI (organism resistance index), ISI (an indicator of the severity of intoxication) with simultaneous determination of the duration of infusion therapy. If the calculated duration of therapy exceeds the planned number of inpatient days, infusion therapy should be carried out for the entire period of inpatient treatment until the general condition stabilizes and there is no need for round-the-clock monitoring. With a decrease in LII to 2 c.u. and below, an increase in ORI to 50 c.u. and above, reducing the ISI to 2 c.u. and below, the treatment is considered effective.

EFFECT: invention provides improved accuracy of evaluating the effectiveness of ongoing infusion therapy, quantitative characterization of intoxication and the possibility of determining the duration of therapy.
