FIELD: production of pipes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pipe production, in particular, to production of seamless pipes in a pipe-rolling unit line with a continuous rolling mill. Proposed method comprises deformation of sleeve on cylindrical mandrel extended beyond first mill cage at the beginning of rolling process and moved at constant speed, and further extraction of rolled case by extractive-calibrating mill. When rolling each subsequent sleeve on this mandrel, the mandrel extension over the first mill stand is changed relative to its previous position when extending beyond the first stand mill, note here that length of section of mandrel left from said stand at outlet of rolled case from last stand of continuous rolling mill is corresponded to mandrel extension over first mill stand. Length of mandrel section, which has come out of last stand of continuous rolling mill, length of mandrel working part, on which rolling of sleeve is performed, as well as distance from mandrel end face to first stand of extraction-calibrating mill after rolling sleeve are regulated by mathematical relationships.
EFFECT: raised service life of mandrels, stability of rolling process and increased quality of pipes.
