SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of determining asphalt coating quality, involving: a) provision of availability and initialization of at least one sensor (1) connected to processor device (2) containing at least one processor (20A, 20B) connected to at least one memory (21A, 21B) intended for storage of at least temperature values (Tn), time (t) and/or instantaneous position (X) for entire width (W) of asphalt coating (4) during its laying along path (X); b) scanning and recording row (P) of individual temperature intervals (TIn) for row (P) of subsections (ΔX') in section (ΔX); c) compiling said temperature intervals TIn for said section (ΔX) distributed along said width (W); d) determining and storing in said memory (21) averaged temperature interval (TIm), representing averaged temperature interval (TIm) for said row (P) of compiled temperature intervals (TIn), distributed along said width (W) of said section (ΔX); e) repeating steps bd until all said distance (X) has been passed along the coating, wherein said stored temperature average intervals (TIm) in said memory (21) are processed by said processor (20A, 20B) to determine quality (V) for said distance (X) along the coating based on a relative value (PDIn), which is related to dispersion of averaged intervals (TIm) of temperatures in the transverse direction for said path (X).
EFFECT: technical result is high reliability of determining quality of fresh asphalt coating.
