In one exemplary version of the method, in a wireless device, performing power control of a physical channel in a wireless communication system can include a step determining the transmission power for transmission on the physical channel in accordance with the power control loop. Besides, circuit may indicate transmission power based on at least one parameter. Furthermore, the value of at least one parameter may depend on which of the different transmission time interval (TTI) lengths specified as applicable on the physical channel is selected for transmission on the physical channel.

EFFECT: provided are systems and methods for controlling power of a physical channel in a communication system.
