FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing aluminum hydroxide used to prepare catalyst supports. Disclosed method comprises single-flow precipitation from solution of sodium aluminate with nitric acid, its stabilization, washing, filtration, wherein the deposition process is carried out at temperature of 50–54 °C and a pH value of 7.1–7.4 in a continuous mode, and stabilization is carried out at temperature of 72–95 °C and a pH value of 9.3–9.6. Invention also relates to a method of producing aluminum gamma-oxide used for preparation of catalyst carriers.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of mechanical strength of aluminum gamma-oxide with preservation of its water resistance, which is characterized by percentage of granules not destructible at contact with water.
