FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to flight testing of on-board equipment (4) of satellite (6) by ground station (82) having a first radio-frequency amplifier (86) and a radio-frequency transmitting antenna (88). Amplifier (86) generates, at antenna input (90) of antenna (88), broadband (no less than receiving band of satellite on-board transponder (6)) test thermal noise (TN) with controlled spectral power density (SPD). SPD of the TN is taken at the level of a reference SPD (Dref) such that the ratio of the SPD of the TN obtained through antenna (12) at the input of the said transponder to the SPD of internal (for the satellite) and natural (from the Earth) TN not less than the threshold (Ds1) of 10 dB. Retrievers of equipment (4) of TN enter port (124) of test bench (84), control (154) of angle of targeting (α) antenna and/or amplification coefficient of transponder. Stand (84) has facilities for collection (152), storage (156) and correlation (158) of data associated with TN, and is connected by port (126) with infrastructure (136) of remote control and telemetry (140) of equipment (4).
EFFECT: technical result is to simplify the In Orbit Testing system (IOT) and reduce interference from it for other satellites.
