FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to devices for preventing skidding or slippage of wheels using sand. Sand spreading device for rail vehicle comprises box for sand reserve for sprinkling, sandbox fixed on box for pneumatically controlled dispensing of sand outlet for sprinkling and sand outlet pipe connected through sand hose with sand chute and terminating in area before wheel of rolling stock. Besides, a heating device is installed in the sand chute for development of a flow of warm air passing through sand for sprinkling. Gutter for sand contains housing of chute with mounting flange for its attachment on box with sand. In the mounting flange there is a system of channels for attachment of the heating device and direction of air flow reaching the heating device. Note here that metal-ceramic filter is arranged at channel system outlet to feed hot air into sandbox. Also disclosed is a rail vehicle, in particular a locomotive, with a sand spreading device.
EFFECT: providing sand supply under unfavorable ambient conditions.
