FIELD: pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pharmaceutics. Disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition for treating breast cancer based on doxorubicin in a phospholipid matrix with particle size of 10–20 nm, comprising a plant-derived phospholipid with phosphatidylcholine content of not less than 95 %, doxorubicin hydrochloride and maltose, with the following ratio of components, wt%: doxorubicin hydrochloride – 0.9–1.1; phospholipid – 18–22; maltose monohydrate 76.9–81.1.
EFFECT: reduced toxicity of the composition as a whole with preservation of its therapeutic effectiveness, reduced manifestation of palmar-plantar syndrome in the patients receiving chemotherapeutic treatment, reduced cost of the therapeutic course.
