SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to magnetic bearings. Method for controlling a magnetic bearing device for an electrical rotary machine comprising a first pair of substantially diametrically opposed transducers and the second pair of substantially diametrically opposed sensors, which are offset relative to the first pair of sensors by angle (α), is as follows. Distance from sensors to rotation body, which is located within pairs of sensors, is measured. First average distance from values of distance of the first pair of sensors and the second average distance from values of distance of the second pair of sensors are determined. First change of first average distance and second change of second average distance are recorded. Changes of average distances are compared; at that, as soon as difference of average changes of distance exceeds limit value, warning signal is issued. Also disclosed are a control unit and a sensor device for implementing the method, a magnetic bearing device and an electric rotary machine with a bearing device.
EFFECT: improved control of rotation body position determination in active magnetic bearing.
