FIELD: computer equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to devices for scheduling input/output (I/O) operations in storage units. A hybrid scheduler and a method of executing I/O by said scheduler are described. Hybrid scheduler comprises two schedulers. Method includes receiving I/O operations from two I/O operation sources and executing the first algorithm by the first scheduler to determine the planned I/O sequence based on the storage capacity. Method also includes transmitting that order of I/O operations to a second scheduler, which executes a second algorithm to determine the rescheduled order of I/O operations based on the corresponding execution time limits. Method also includes monitoring compliance with the respective I/O execution time limits and stopping the receipt of additional I/O operations by the second scheduler from the first scheduler if non-compliance with the corresponding I/O execution deadline is detected.

EFFECT: providing possibility of balanced control of accumulator due to planning of I/O operations.
