SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of distributed data processing and, in particular, to a method and server for scheduling input/output operations (I/O) for the purpose of their processing. The method for scheduling I/O operations to be processed by the data storage device includes receiving I/O operations and for each of them determining a forecast processing time and a forecast processing period indicating a forecast processing deadline. The method also includes determining the scheduled order of I/O operations based on the corresponding forecast processing deadlines. The method also includes monitoring the actual processing time for I/O operations and adjusting the virtual time of the operation scheduler if the actual processing time exceeds the forecast processing time of the I/O operation.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of scheduling I/O operations that must be processed by the data storage device, which is part of a distributed computer system.
