FIELD: physics; accelerating engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to acceleration engineering and can be used in development of cyclic accelerators with practically constant radius of orbit, for example induction synchrotrons with constant in time magnetic field. Method of formation of equilibrium trajectories of particles in a cyclic accelerator with constant radius of an orbit consists in that for formation of orbits of particles and preservation of radius of an orbit of particles constant at their acceleration, particles are reflected by fields of magnetic dipoles and form rigid focusing of particles. Reflections of particles are carried out by means of fields of heteropolar dipoles, and for formation of rigid focusing of particles fields of lenses with flat magnetic poles are used. To implement this method of forming equilibrium trajectories, standard magnetic dipoles, warm or superconducting, which are widely used in particle accelerators, can be used. It is also possible to use permanent magnets (for example, NdFeB or CmCo).
EFFECT: technical result is increase of operating energy range.
