FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction, namely to construction of temporary structures for operation in winter in northern and arctic conditions. Proposed method consists in making snow blocks by compressing snow in a soft container placed in a rectangular shape, followed by its clogging and extraction of the finished product. Advantages of the proposed method are reduced labour intensity of production and improved heat-protective properties compared to ice blocks, possibility of immediate use for construction works. Used container can be used repeatedly.
EFFECT: obtained modular material is recommended for construction of low-rise buildings and structures.
