FIELD: data processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method, a data processing system, a computer-readable medium for modifying a part of an article by setting a point on the representation of the mesh of a part of the article and transmitting the point to the model of representing boundaries. Method comprises steps of obtaining a grid data representation relating to part of article, wherein presentation of grid data comprises a plurality of triangles, each of which represents a facet, extracting natural parametrization of each triangle from the grid data presentation, wherein the natural parametrization comprises an integer identifier of each facet and corresponding facet parameters, wherein the facets parameters contain a pair of coordinates u, v, output the modified parametrization for each triangle from the part grid data representation containing a combination of the integer identifier and the facet parameters, modifying parametrization is transmitted to the model of representation of boundaries and modified parametrization of scanning data is saved.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of the product simulation efficiency.
