FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurosurgery and oncology, and can be used in closing a bone defect after performing stereotactic brain interventions. For this purpose, pathological material is sampled from the tumor growth area by stereotactic frame-free biopsy on the Medtronic "Stealth Station S7" navigation system in real-time conditions using preoperative magnetic resonance or computer tomographic images. Then, prepared according to the instruction, the Evicel fibrinogen-thrombin glue is connected to the bone chips obtained during the operational access. Produced mixture is tightly closed with a bone defect with subsequent soft tissue suturing.
EFFECT: method provides reliable sealing of skull cavity, preventing development of complications in early and late postoperative period.
