FIELD: communication equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering, in particular to equipment of cable systems and can be used to identify the state of ports of switching panels through which network devices are connected. Monitoring system of detachable connections of cable path includes switching panels, units for monitoring availability of connectors in ports of switching panel, software and hardware interface unit, which includes microcontroller, software unit for processing, storing and displaying information on use of ports of switching panels. Each unit for monitoring presence of connectors in ports of switching panel includes a group of contactless distance sensors. Each of contactless distance sensors is installed switching panel so that when connected to port connector is located in sector of detection of corresponding contactless distance sensor, not falling into sector of detection of other contact sensors of distance.
EFFECT: broader functional capabilities, high reliability of identifying busy ports of switching panels.
