SUBSTANCE: system for monitoring fiber-optic communication lines comprises at least one optical switching panel which has adapter adapters, to at least one of which is connected an input connector of a corresponding first Y-shaped asymmetric optical splitter, first output connector of which is connected to first output connector of corresponding second Y-shaped asymmetric optical splitter, input connector of which is intended to connect end of fiber-optic communication line, second output connectors of each Y-shaped asymmetric optical splitter are connected to inputs of corresponding photodetectors, output of each of which is connected to appropriate input of corresponding microcontroller, which output is connected to corresponding input of processing and information transfer unit, which output is output of monitoring system of fiber-optic communication lines.

EFFECT: broader functional capabilities and high reliability of information on occupancy of ports of switching panels of fiber-optic communication lines.
