FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to non-ferrous metallurgy, particularly, to foundry production, namely, to production of cast composite material based on copper for production of electrotechnical parts operated at increased temperatures and pressures. Method for production of copper-based cast composite includes copper melting under cover of finely ground graphite, introduction of chromium and boron powders into melt of reaction mixture for synthesis of reinforcing discrete particles of chromium diboride CrB2, note here that melt is preliminarily deoxidized with nanoparticle diamond-graphite powder of 60–75 nm fraction in amount of 0.06–0.07 wt%, after which reaction mixture of chromium and boron powders is introduced into molten metal in amount of 0.5–1.0 wt%, and then modifying additive in form of cadmium in amount of 0.1 wt% and micro-alloying REM additive in form of misch metal Mc50ZhZ in amount of 0.1 wt.% are successively introduced.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at production of cast composite material based on copper with improved structure and low specific resistance.
