SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Communication method (700) realized by transmission point (30) comprises a step of: transmitting information from transmission point (30) to allow the wireless device to determine two or more synchronization signals as belonging to a set of synchronization signals, wherein the wireless device does not need to start a radio link failure procedure until any of the synchronization signals belonging to the set can be detected and synchronization can be obtained from them; and transmitting (704) a set of two or more synchronization signals from beam-based transmission point (30), such that each synchronization signal is different and corresponds to different beams from corresponding one of two or more beams used by transmission point (30) in shaping antenna pattern, wherein synchronization signals serve as reference elements for measurement of synchronization by means of wireless devices (50) for obtaining or maintaining synchronization with transmission point (30).

EFFECT: technical result consists in possibility of wireless device to perform radio measurements to support procedure of activation of mobility in absence of dispatching of data transfer.
