FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of inhibiting radical polymerisation of an unsaturated compound which contains an unsaturated carbon-carbon bond involving contacting an unsaturated compound with a hydroxylamine compound having Formula 1 structure:
where R1 is butyl or benzyl; R2, R3, R4 and R5 independently represent alkyl.
EFFECT: disclosed is the use of stable lipophilic hydroxylamine compounds for inhibiting polymerisation of vinyl monomers.
