FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to steel strip for production of sheet from non-oriented grain oriented electrical steel. Steel strip for production of sheet from electrical steel with non-oriented grain structure has composition of steel, wt. %: C to 0.03, Al from 1 to 12, Si from 0.3 to 3.5, Mn from 0.25 to 10, Cu from 0.05 to 3.0, Ni from 0.01 to 5.0, total content of N, S and P is not more than 0.07, iron and melting due to impurities melting is the rest. Steel strip has insulating layer consisting mainly of Al2O3 and/or SiO2, having thickness of more than 10 mcm to 100 mcm. Steel strip manufacturing method includes steel melting, steel horizontal and vertical casting to produce strip billet, slab or thin slab, repeated heating of slab or thin slab to 1050–1250 °C with subsequent hot rolling to produce hot strip with thickness of less than 3 mm, or repeated heating of strip workpiece to 1000–1100 °C with subsequent hot rolling to produce hot strip with thickness of less than 3 mm, or hot rolling of strip workpiece to produce hot strip with thickness of less than 3 mm, hot strip winding at temperature between 850 °C and room temperature, annealing at 550–800 °C for 20–80 minutes with subsequent air cooling, single-step or multi-step finishing rolling strip to produce strip, having minimum final thickness of 0.10 mm, subsequent strip annealing at temperature of 900–1080 °C for 10–60 sec with subsequent cooling in air.
EFFECT: band is characterized by low hysteresis losses.
