SUBSTANCE: electrode for ignition plug has main part and cylindrical wear part, which has a longitudinal axis (x-x) extending from the end face of the wearable part end face to the main electrode part to its other end surface opposite to the end surface facing the main electrode part, and which has at least one first zone and at least one second zone, in first of which wear part is not melted, and in second of which wear part is subjected to fusion, wherein in section by plane, in which longitudinal axis lies, first transition between at least one first zone and at least one second zone on side surface of wearing part is denoted as point A, and second transition between at least one first zone and at least one second zone, which in this plane of section is located closest to longitudinal axis (x-x), is denoted as point C, wherein section AC is located at angle α to longitudinal axis (x-x), which is not less than 45°, primarily not less than 60°.
