Method comprises administering a composition comprising multipotent mesenchymal adipose tissue stromal cells in a suitable dose for treating sepsis secondary to pneumonia, in an individual being a human, by intravenous administration of the embryo and also proposed the use of multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells in a suitable dose in the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of sepsis in an individual being a human.
