FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrument-making and concerns an analyzer for selective determination of volatile aromatic hydrocarbons in a gaseous medium. Analyzer comprises a chemosensor element, a radiator and a system for controlling and recording the analysis results. Chemosensory element has a sensor layer containing a fluorophore which is sensitive to each determined component. Irradiator has a UV light source for exciting a sensory layer fluorescence, and a blue light source optically connected to the chemosensor element and intended for illumination thereof. System for controlling and recording the analysis results is configured to alternately switch on the UV light source and the blue light source, as well as to measure the fluorescence intensity of the sensor layer and intensity of the blue light transmitted through the sensor layer.
EFFECT: technical result is increase in the measurements accuracy.
