FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery. Upon patient admission, preoperative coronary angiography is evaluated. That is followed by observing an electrocardiogram, arterial pressure and heart rate for 15 minutes with a clamp applied. Thereafter, the cardiologist interprets the electrocardiography data, and then the arrest of haemorrhage method is selected. Thus, in the absence of negative dynamics, haemorrhage is stopped by shunting. If the dynamics is negative, the haemorrhage is stopped by closing the shunt defect.
EFFECT: method enables fast, accurate and justified selection of a method for arresting an erosive haemorrhage from coronary artery bypass grafts in purulent sterno-mediastinitis, which enables reducing the mortality rate and the number of postoperative complications.
