FIELD: machine building; metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and machine building, namely to combined methods of metal hardening, and can be used in production of parts operating under conditions of wear and alternating loads. Method for surface alloying of parts from steel 40X includes depositing on surface of parts a composition containing alloying elements, preliminary surface alloying and thermodiffusion saturation of surface of parts with alloying elements by heating at temperature 650–750 °C with holding for 3–4 hours and with subsequent cooling. Nanodispersed suspension containing sol with copper nanoparticles and alloying elements introduced thereto is used as the part applied on the surface of the parts of the composition; after that, the nanodispersed suspension of the part is dried. Preliminary surface doping is carried out using micro-arc heating, and subsequent thermodiffusion saturation is carried out in a reactor in a glow-discharge plasma with holding in a medium of dissociated ammonia and air at low pressure. In particular cases of invention implementation introduction of alloying elements into sol containing copper nanoparticles is performed by means of spraying of chromel wire using micro-arc discharge. Suspension on part surface is applied by dipping.
EFFECT: increased depth of doped layer and increased strength characteristics of parts due to increased rate of diffusion of alloying elements with simultaneous simplification of process of metallization of surface of parts.
