SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fish feeding device (10) configured to feed fish (13) to a plurality of fish processing devices. Device comprises transverse conveyor (14) configured to transport fish (13) across head-tail orientation in transverse conveying direction (15), wherein transverse conveyor (14) comprises multiple receivers (17), each of which is configured for individual retention of one fish (13). Crosswise conveyor (14) also comprises a controlled drive unit (19), at least one loading device (11) configured to feed fish into receivers (17) of transverse conveyor (14), a plurality of transfer devices (16) made with possibility selective transfer of fish (13) from transverse conveyor to longitudinal conveyors (12) located upstream of corresponding fish processing devices and intended for transportation of fish (13) in head-tail orientation to fish processing machines, and control device intended to control said at least one loading device (11), transfer devices (16) and speed of transportation by transverse conveyor (14) based on distribution rules. Disclosed also is a method of feeding fish.
