FIELD: radio equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to radio engineering and can be used to delay microwave signal in beam-forming devices of antenna arrays. Group of inventions is a method of controlling delay of a microwave signal in a fiber-optic delay line, in which a signal is repeatedly converted in series from the microwave range to optical, passes it through a switched section of optical fiber and is converted back into the microwave range, and a microwave signal delay line containing N non-multiple lengths of optical fiber, optoelectronic converters, an optical splitter, electronic switches and a control device.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of reliability of controlled delay line with reduction of lower bound of range of change of delay and discreteness of its change.
