FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to obstetrics and gynecology, and can be used to predict the effectiveness of treating uterine fibroids in the patients of reproductive age at the stage of pregnancy planning. Method consists in calculating prognostic index d by formula d=6.9x1–8.1x2–4.9x3+6.5x4+18.6x5–14.8, where x1 – presence of menorrhagia, 0 – no, 1 – yes; x2 – presence of hypo-intensive magnetic resonance signal from hysteromyoma node, 0 – no, 1 – yes; x3 – homogeneity of the structure of the node, 0 – no, 1 – yes; x4 – calcinates, 0 – no, 1 – yes; x5 – index of blood flow resistance in uterine arteries. If d>0, the therapy is predicted to be ineffective, if d≤0, the treatment is predicted to be effective.
EFFECT: method provides higher clinical effectiveness of hysteromyoma treatment by careful selection of patients for FUS MRI ablation.
