FIELD: manufacturing technology; transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway track superstructure, in particular to methods of making railway sleepers. In production of sleeper end parts of the sleeper are additionally reinforced with spatial frames. Frames are made of rods. Four paired rods are arranged horizontally and two rods are arranged vertically. Rods are welded to each other. Distance between pairs of horizontal rods shall be not less than diameter of main reinforcement. Distance between vertical rods should not be more than distance between extreme main structural rods of horizontal reinforcement. Horizontal rods can be bent by 90°. Length of bends is determined proceeding from fabricability of assembling frames into sleeper form.
EFFECT: higher strength characteristics of the sleeper.
