FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of purifying a solvent used in preparing an elastomeric mixture. Purification method involves the following steps: (a) optionally, subjecting said solvent to preliminary washing in the presence of at least one acidic or basic aqueous solution; (b) feeding said solvent into a separating liquid-liquid column; (c) feeding a stream coming from the head portion of said separating liquid-liquid column to a azeotropic distillation column; (d) supplying a stream withdrawn in lateral direction (side line) from said azeotropic distillation column to an adsorption section. At that, at stage (b) water is supplied in counter-current into the specified separating liquid-liquid column.
EFFECT: technical result consists in obtaining a solvent of polymer purity, having quality suitable for indifferent and simultaneous use on different types of apparatus for obtaining elastomeric (co)polymers.
