FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radiation measurements and can be used for separate recording of monodirectional neutrons and gamma-quanta acting together, when operating on nuclear-physical installations of various types and purposes. Disclosed is a method of separate detection of monodirectional neutrons and gamma-quanta acting together, according to which radiation is detected by a detector containing a housing made from materials with close atomic numbers, a metal collector, a hydrogen-containing and hydrogen-free dielectric plates. Collector is made in the form of two plates separated by an electrostatic screen. Between each of the collector plates and the housing there are dielectric plates from the hydrogen-containing material, and between the collector plates and the electrostatic screen there are dielectric plates from the material not containing hydrogen, wherein dielectric plates thickness is selected not less than the path of the highest-energy secondary electrons, signal from each collector is branched in two channels, which are connected in pairs and connected to the recorders through the subtraction circuit and the summation circuit.
EFFECT: invention provides separate recording of monodirectional neutrons and gamma-quanta acting together.
