SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dentistry, and can be used as a mouth rinsing agent for the purpose of treatment and prevention of inflammatory diseases of oral cavity, including as a hygienic agent for daily oral care. Disclosed composition for preventing and treating inflammatory oral diseases contains the following components, wt. %: target components are dry extract of Uncaria tomentosa bark 0.05–0.5 and CO₂-extract of Ocimum tenuiflorum 0.1–2.0, as well as glycerine 7.0; xylitol 2.0; sodium benzoate 0.1; PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil 4.0; potassium pyrophosphate 0.53; sodium dihydropyrophosphate 0.75; menthol 0.05; highly purified water - balance.

EFFECT: use of the disclosed composition by daily oral rinsing for 2 weeks promotes regression of experimental apical periodontitis, remission of chronic gingivitis in patients, which widens the base of products based on raw materials of natural origin, intended for daily oral care, prevention and treatment of inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity, with its use reduces the risk of side effects, adverse drug interactions and contraindications.
