METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PERFORMING CONTINUOUS INFUSION PROCESS Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61M5/168

Abstract RU 2716683 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to a method for performing a continuous infusion process using at least two infusion devices (1A, 1B) and a system for performing a continuous infusion process using at least two infusion devices (1A, 1B). Method comprises steps of feeding first fluid (M1) from first drug container (100A) via first feed line (11A) at first flow rate (F1) using first infusion device (1A) in first phase. Second liquid (M2) is supplied from the second medicine container (100B) along the second supply line (11B) with the second flow rate (F2) using the second infusion device (1B) in the second phase following the first phase. Relay device (2) connected to first supply line (11A) and second feed line (11B) is configured to receive first fluid (M1) via first feed line (11A) in first phase and second fluid (M2) along second line (11B) in the second phase. Relay device (2) is further configured to release the received first or second fluid (M1, M2) into feed line (3) connected to relay device (2) for delivery to the patient (P). Outlet feed line has preset feed volume (DV). After the first fluid (M1) is supplied using the first infusion device (1A) in the first phase, the second infusion device (1B) in the intermediate phase is configured to operate for a given supply time, for supplying the second fluid (M2) with a first flow rate (F1), wherein preset feed time is set considering preset volume (DV) of supply of discharge line (3). First infusion device (1A) and the second infusion device (1B) are configured to communicate with each other to transmit information related to the first flow (F1). Second infusion device (1B) is configured to determine the preset time of delivery in accordance with the first flow rate (F1) and the delivery volume (DV). System comprises the first infusion device (1A) configured to supply the first fluid (M1) from the first drug container (100A) along the first feed line (11A) to the first flow (F1) in the first phase. Device has the second infusion device (1B) configured to supply the second fluid (M2) from the second drug container (100B) via the second supply line (11B) to the second flow (F2) in the second phase following the first phase. System includes relay device (2) connected to first feed line (11A) and second feed line (11B) and configured to receive first fluid (M1) along first feed line (11A) in first phase and second fluid (M2) through second feed line (11B) in second phase. Relay device (2) is further configured to release the received first or second fluid (M1, M2) into feed line (3) connected to relay device (2) for delivery to the patient (P). Discharge outlet line (3) has preset feed volume (DV). System is configured so that, after first fluid (M1) is supplied using first infusion device (1A) in first phase, second infusion device (1B) in intermediate phase is configured to operate for a given supply time, for supplying second fluid (M2) with first flow (F1). Preset feed time is set based on the predetermined volume (DV) of supply of discharge line (3). First infusion device (1A) and second infusion device (1B) are configured to communicate with each other to transmit information relating to first flow (F1), wherein the second infusion device (1B) is configured to determine a predetermined delivery time in accordance with the first flow rate (F1) and the feed volume (DV).

EFFECT: technical result is reliable provision when switching the infusion from the first infusion device to the second infusion device, constant dose entry rate.
