FIELD: electric power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in power engineering for damping of low-frequency oscillations (dancing) of split wires of phase of overhead transmission lines. Split-wire vibration damper comprises double-hinged bearing frame (1), double-arm pendulum and damper of its torsional vibrations. Damper housing (6) is equipped with flanges (7). Arches (2) and (3) of frame (1) are made with parallel rectilinear beams (4) and (5). Ends of arches (2) and (3) are connected in pairs by bridges (12) with possibility of three-sided coverage of flanges (7). Dampener of the wire dance damper contains resilient case (6) equipped with flanges (7), in which support axis (14) is fixed. In central part (8) of body (6) there is an external annular ledge (17) which is enveloped by ring (18) intended for fastening the two-arm pendulum.
EFFECT: higher reliability of electric power transmission due to reduction of probability of damages of overhead transmission lines caused by dance of wires.
