FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing a polymer-containing silybin composition. Method includes the steps of: preparing a solution of silybin and a copolymer of lactic and glycolic acids (50:50) in a mixture of ethyl acetate and dichloromethane (non-aqueous phase); mixing said solution with a solution of polyvinyl alcohol (aqueous phase); processing the obtained mixture with ultrasound to form an emulsion; adding to the emulsion a sodium chloride solution; removing organic solvents from the emulsion by evaporation in a vacuum to form a suspension; filtering the suspension; freezing and subsequent lyophilization. Composition of obtained lyophilizate (wt%): silybin 4–6, copolymer of lactic and glycolic acids 50–52, polyvinyl alcohol 22–24, sodium chloride 20–22. When mixed with water, the lyophilizate forms a suspension of particles with average size of 170–400 nm.
EFFECT: method of obtaining a product with high effectiveness of silybin inclusion (more than 90 %), without significant losses of the active ingredient suitable for peroral application in pharmacological correction of liver function against a background of toxic lesions.
