FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to oncology, and can be used to treat cancer. For this purpose, a method of treating cancer, including a solid tumour or hemoblastosis in a subject, includes a composition containing modified stem cells, where the modified stem cells are stromal stem cells of adipose tissue. Modified stem cells contain a cytotoxic payload; cytotoxic payload comprises a lytic virus, and the lytic virus represents a vaccinia virus. Individual is prescribed a therapy which activates the T-cell response within the individual, wherein the treatment involves administering a blocking antibody against a negative costimulatory molecule or a negative costimulatory molecule inhibitor, or involves administering an anti-costimulatory molecule agonist antibody. Group of inventions also relates to a combination for treating cancer.
EFFECT: use of the given group of inventions enables higher clinical effectiveness in the treatment of cancer by adding the immune response control point inhibitor therapy to the therapy with stem cells containing the vaccinia lytic virus.
