SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in water treatment. Method of sea water filtration on-board of vessel using filtration device (2), comprising cylindrical filter element (6), located in reservoir (5), and purification device (11), includes the following stages: a) pumping seawater into filtration device (2); b) seawater direction with input pressure P__in in device (2) filtering the output pressure P__o providing a filtered sea water or a filtrate; c) conducting concentrate phase or concentrate removed from filtration element (6) by means of cleaning device (11) with concentrate pressure P__conc; d) measuring the inlet pressure P__in, P__o outlet pressure and concentrate pressure P__conc preferably by means of sensors (22, 23, 24) and transfer them to device (21) controls; e) recognizing changes filtration efficiency of filter element (6) by detecting changes in the difference pollution pressures ΔP_F = P__in – P__o between inlet pressure P__in and outlet pressure P__o and regulating the pressure difference suction ΔP_K = P__o – P__conc defined as the difference between the output pressure and the pressure of the concentrate, depending on the difference in contamination of the pressure ΔP_F = P__in - P__o.

EFFECT: invention increases filtration efficiency of sea water.
