SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to oncology, and can be used for selection of women in risk group of breast cancer in perimenopausal period. Anamnestic data is collected. Women aged 44 to 58 years old, having at least two births and not more than 1 abortion in the past medical history are diagnosed, the age of the first pregnancy and half of the born children is stated. If the first birth occurred at age of 23 and ended with the birth of a male child, and the second delivery resulted in the birth of a female child, additionally, daily urine metabolism level of 2-hydroxyestrone (2-OHE1) and 16α-hydroxyestrone (16α-OHE1) is determined in daily urine, their ratio 2-OHE1/16 α-OHE1 is calculated. If 2-OHE1/16-α-OHE1 index is 1.64 or less, the woman is considered to be a high risk group for developing breast cancer.

EFFECT: method provides a simple rapid method for determining the risk of developing breast cancer in women in the perimenopausal period by analysing anamnestic data and determining daily urine metabolism level of 2-OHE1 and 16 α-OHE1 oestrogen.
