METHOD OF REMOVING AIR INCLUSIONS FROM ENGINE ENGINE DEACTIVATION HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC F01L1/24 F02D13/02

Abstract RU 2717202 C2

FIELD: internal combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in mechanisms of internal combustion engine valves drive. Method of air inclusions removal is performed from oil flow flowing in hydraulic circuit of deactivation of engine valve (18). Components of engine valve (18) are hydraulic valve deactivation circuit, control engine oil valve with disengaged cylinders (COV EDC), rocker arm, rocker switch, pressure release valve and pressure release valve switch. Hydraulic valve deactivation circuit (18) comprises switching gallery (84) and oil gallery (82) of hydraulic compensator (36). Hydraulic valve deactivation circuit communicates oil pressure with switching gallery (84), oil gallery (82) of the gap compensator, rocker switch, pressure release valve switch and COV EDC. Method of air inclusions removal consists in that first oil pressure is supplied through annular gap into switching gallery (84), when COV EDC is de-energized, for functioning of annular gap as hydraulic throttle for oil flow flowing in at least part of hydraulic circuit valve deactivation when the first oil pressure is supplied to it. Switching gallery (84) is configured to receive throttling oil flow at first oil pressure and subsequent supply of at least first oil pressure to rocker switch and pressure relief valve switch. Second oil pressure is supplied to rocker switch via oil gallery (82) of gap compensator, when COV EDC is connected. Second oil pressure is greater than the first oil pressure.

EFFECT: technical result consists in prevention of air ingress into hydraulic gallery of increased pressure forming air pockets in it in idle engine.
