SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a diesel locomotive, comprising: a bearing frame, a cowl-type body, a control cabin and a power plant. Power plant consists of self-contained drives in the form of diesel engines or gas-turbine plants and generator, as well as locomotive is equipped with converter of generator armature rotation from output shafts of independent drives.
EFFECT: use of converter of generator armature rotation improves reliability of generator drive from independent engines.
