FIELD: treatment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device and method used for air cleaning from contaminants. Device contains one hollow housing limiting the chamber intended for reception of air flow, which must be cleaned, and containing an inlet hole for air, an outlet hole for air. Proposed chamber comprises electric field generating means, photocatalyst excited by light radiation and implementing photocatalysis, light radiation source designed to excite said photocatalyst and adsorbing material. Electric field generation facility, the photocatalyst and adsorbing material are located in the chamber with the possibility of interaction.

EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of removing pollutants by adsorption without adding pressure loss when passing the carrier air stream.
