FIELD: radar absorbent materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar absorbent materials and is intended to reduce reflection of electromagnetic radiation from metal and metallized surfaces in X-band. Disclosed group of inventions relates to a radar absorbent coating and a method for application thereof. Radar absorbent coating is a curable liquid composition based on a solution of chlorosulphonated polyethylene and filler of high-dispersed carbonyl iron powder. Liquid composition also contains powders of zinc oxide, magnesium oxide, stearic acid, diphenyl guanidine powder and liquid undecyl alcohol. Ratio is in pts. wt.: 1,000 for 15 % solution of chlorosulphonated polyethylene in toluene, 715 for iron of carbonyl, 11 for zinc oxide, 11 for magnesium oxide, 11 for stearic acid, 0.3 for diphenyl guanidine, 0.33 for undecyl alcohol. At perpendicular incidence of electromagnetic waves on metal and metallized surfaces with applied radio-absorbing coating with thickness of 1.0 to 2.0 mm reflection coefficient is less than 3.1 % or minus 15 dB.

EFFECT: invention enables to reduce the level of reflection of electromagnetic radiation from metal and metallized surfaces in the X-band of frequency by not less than 15 dB and improve technical and operational characteristics of items in part of radio-coverage of articles, electromagnetic compatibility, protection of operating personnel against electromagnetic radiation.
